I Stand For You:
What do you stand for? In these troubling times, it feels like the only thing worth doing is sitting. Especially this law; I have no doubt some have said, “I won’t stand for any of it!” I hate to break it to everyone, but this is a time to stand up.
These times remind of the story of Noah. As many of you know, Noah was righteous man who loved God. He not only stood for God, but he stood for God in trying times. The world was a wicked place back then, filled with sin, death, and hate. Much like today, you might say. God was so displeased with creation his first thought was to end it. However, in Noah, God saw hope for the human race. He saw someone who STOOD for him.
“Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God” Genesis 6:1
Think about that for a moment! Noah’s world was full of crap, and he loved and served God anyway! He even got God to change his mind. I’m no Biblical scholar, but i’m pretty sure that’s only happened a couple times.
Forgive my excitement, brothers and sisters. The point of all of this is simple. The world is a fallen place. A place filled with terrible things and horrible people. With many things not worth standing for, or fighting for.
But when these things happen, let’s not sit down. Let’s not be discouraged and dismayed. And let’s certainly not stand for the evil in this world. Instead let’s stand for Jesus. The author and finisher of our faith. Our redeemer and savior. Our father and creator. What else is there to stand for? Can anyone answer that?
Joshua 24:15 “But as for me and my house, We will serve the Lord
Dear Lord, help us each day to stand for you. You are our savior and Lord. No one deserves our praise and devotion but you. We thank you that when the world goes dark, you are the light and you have placed you’re light in all of us. We love you and praise you Father. In Your precious name we pray, Amen.
Grace and Peace to all of you in Christ Jesus
